Accomplishment you're proudest of: Changing careers - from the confinement of broadcasting to the freedom of travel.

First job: Setting tables and serving Rotary Club dinner in Arbogast Hotel in Ada, Ohio. I was in the seventh grade and was paid in left-over chicken and noodles.

Secret vice: Imaginary conversations in my mind. 

Most memorable vacation: A Christmas cruise to; the Caribbean on the Queen Elizabeth II. 

Book you want to read when you get the time: My car owner's manual.

Something you would like to get around to doing one of these days: Walk all of the territory within two miles of my home. 

Things you can do without: Insensitive travelers. 

Who in the world you would most like to have dinner with: Now - Susan Annette Muto of Duquesne University and Stan C. Marshall, former advertising executive; then - Christopher Morley and Ed King.

What you do on Saturday: Rake, trim, prune and turn compost piles.
